The Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council and numerous other neighborhood organizations are sponsoring a special seminar on dealing with the disposal of yard waste at 7 p.m. on March 25 at New City School, Lake at Waterman. Since January 1, Missouri residents can no longer dispose of yard waste along with regular trash.
A representative of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources will speak about landfill restrictions and the option of composting.
He will tell how to do it and under what conditions and discuss how to use the compost.
In addition, the meeting will focus on the essentials of recycling.
