The Delmar Commercial Committee which has been drafting a redevelopment plan for Delmar was overjoyed to learn that its efforts will be aided substantially by the recent award of two major grants.
The Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council has received $50,000 from the St. Louis Development Corporation’s Theme Commercial Districts Program and $10,000 from Southwestern Bell. Although formal guidelines were not available at press time, Commercial Committee Chair JoAnn Vatcha hopes that funds can be expended to improve the streetscape (including trees), and produce banners and marketing brochures. •
