THEY’RE BACK. JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THE THEATER WAS SAFE !!! Mark your calendar. Practice booing, hissing and cheering. Melodrama returns to Skinker DeBaliviere. June 22, 1991 at New City School the “Never Say Never, Just one More Time, Last Chance to Dance, Melodrama Players’ appear in a classic revival of THE FASTEST THIMBLE IN THE WEST directed by Rita Sweets with a cast of thousands. That’s right a revival. First performed in November 1974 under the direction of Rita Sweets and brought back by popular demand. Many of you will remember ‘Fastest Thimble’ Others of you know it only by reputation. Critically acclaimed at the time for its “fresh” approach to melodrama, now you can enjoy the true spirit of the old west and have a great evening of entertainment.

The evening will being at 7 p.m. with a cash bar cocktail hour.

This will be followed by the Last Chance to Dance Players’ performance along with olio performances by past and future stars.

After the performance (with your help) there will be dinner and celebration on into the night.

This should be a stellar event but there is still much to do to make the evening truly spectacular. Many people are needed for activities on years and it should be the best ever, but it will take many volunteers to make it happen.

The 1974 production was successful, but the 1991 production should be a smash. You are needed.
