The Breitmayer Community Ministry of Grace United Methodist Church is sponsoring a Thanksgiving Basket program for needy families in the Skinker-DeBaliviere area.
Each of the baskets will consist of a turkey. and all the trimmings for a Thanksgiving Day dinner, plus food for an additional three days.
Last year the Breitmayer Ministry distributed 55 baskets and had a waiting list of 100 people who had registered for food who could not be served.
This year, those who receive the Thanksgiving Baskets will be prescreened before receiving the baskets, in an attempt to distribute the baskets fairly.
The goal this year is to double the number of baskets, but in order to do this the Ministry must raise approximately $3,000, because each basket costs $25.00.
To reach this goal they are asking for donations from residents of the Skinker-DeBaliviere community.
If you wish to donate to the Breitmayer Thanksgiving Basket Fund, or if you desire additional information, please call Linda Emerson at 863-8900. Donations may be mailed to the Breitmayer Community Ministry, 6199 Waterman, St. Louis, MO 63112.
Please make checks payable to the Breitmayer Community Ministry. Your contribution is tax deductible.
