The Gallery of the University City Public Library is seeking professional artists for its seventh season of juried art exhibitions.
The jury, consisting of Sherrye Cohn, Lawrence Steefel, and William Wallace, will meet in March to choose artists for the 1988-89 season which will begin in September. Shows in The Gallery are hung for one month and are publicized through press releases and mailed invitations to the opening reception.
There are no jury fees.
The dead line for submission of slides is February 29, 1988. Twelve slides of recent work and a short resume are required and should be sent to Linda Ballard, University City Public Library, 6701 Delmar, 63130.
The Gallery’s exhibit space is most suited to wall-mounted work rather than pottery or free-standing objects.
