The Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council will present A Child’s Christmas in Wales on Wednesday, December 17, 7:30 p.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, 6199 Waterman.
The story, based on reminiscences of author Dylan Thomas, is a child’s account of Christmas Day in a small Welsh village. Under the direction of Ken Cohen, the piece will be presented as a reader’s theatre with a cast of three and musical accompaniment.
The nature of the story, as well as the length and style of the production, make this a holiday event for the entire family. Running time is about forty-five minutes and admission is free. Refreshments will be served at a reception in the church hall immediately following the performance.
The program is funded through a grant from the Regional Arts Commission.
