Historical February 1981 report or notice. Original dates, prices and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

Warren Lovely, Scoutmaster of Hamilton School’s Troop 128, has been awarded the highest honor for a scout leader, the Silver Beaver.

The presentation was made on December 9, 1980 at the annual council banquet.

A truly outstanding Scouter, Mr. Lovely served Troop 128 as Institutional Representative for twelve years and has been Scoutmaster for the past seven years.

The troop has been one of the mainstays of the West District.

In addition to his troop responsibilities, Mr. Lovely is active in district and council programs.

He is a major promoter of Woodbadge training for leaders, serving on the training staff for three years.

He also assists with the training of various Order of the Arrow ritual teams.

The Silver Beaver is given to exceptional Scouters who are also respected and active in their communities and churches. Mr. Lovely has been Police Commissioner and Municipal Court Clerk for his neighborhood and is Assistant Shop Steward and a driver for Bi-State Bus System.

Our neighborhood is better for having Troop 128 and there would probably be no 128 except for Warren Lovely’s concern for our young men.

We congratulate Warren, and we thank him for caring.
