Dr. Morgan was president of the Christian Civic Foundation, chaired the personnel committee of the Great Rivers Region American Baptist Churches, served on the boards of the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society, the American Baptist Home Mission Society, Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kan., Central Baptist Seminary, Kansas City, Missouri Baptist Hospital and the hospital’s Pacesetter fund drive.

In the Skinker-DeBaliviere community

Dr. Morgan will be particularly remembered for his efforts to maintain the church at its present location and for enlarging the role of the church in the neighborhood.

On behalf of the neighborhood, The Paper extends sincere condolences to his wife, Betty, and to the Delmar Baptist congregation and recognizes the loss to our community.
