Missouri Arts Council has awarded Neighborhood School an Artist in the Schools program grant for the 1978-1979 school year. The grant will enable sculptor Sue Sante to work with Neighborhood School children and children from the other schools in the neighborhood. The grant provides that half of the artist’s time is devoted to creative work in her studio at the school, and the other half spent working with the kids in the studio.
In the planning for this spring is an after school class for three or four mid-grade children from each school working together on large sculptures. Sue will also be available for lecture/demonstrations for groups of children.
