Cornerstone Corporation, a ministry of Grace and Peace Fellowship which owns three apartment houses in the SkinkerDeBaliviere area, held its annual meeting on May 12 in the Fellowship’s building at 6003 Kingsbury. Debbie Kling, president, presided. Elected to the board for two year terms were Gordon Carlson, Jean Shaw, Gina Book, Egon Middleman, and Kurt Lutjens. All but Shaw are residents of the area.
The corporation’s assets include three apartment buildings: 5929 McPherson, 6006 Washington, and 5879 Nina. Twelve apartments are involved, and all are occupied at the present time. Rentals are kept reasonable so that families with limited means may enjoy clean comfortable living quarters in a neighborhood where they feel at home. Memberships and gifts allow the corporation to make improvements. Tenants share in the upkeep of the property.
Jim Kern, Debbie Kling, and Marc Abbott make up the remainder of the board. Kern, Kling, and Lutjens own property within walking distance of Grace and Peace Fellowship.
