Hamilton Community School — Course Survey

February 1978

From The Times Archives

Historical February 1978 notice. Original dates, prices, services and contacts are preserved; current availability has not been established.

The Hamilton School, located at 5819 Westminster Place, has been selected to become one of the fourteen community school sites throughout the City of St. Louis. Community schools, which are primarily funded by the St. Louis Board of Education and the St. Louis Community Development Agency, involve the use of public school buildings for total community service in after school and evening hours. These services, which will become available in April, 1978, will be offered from 3:30 P.M. — 9:00 P.M., Monday through Thursday. They will include tutoring of students, recreation, adult education, vocational training, enrichment courses, community forums, discussion groups, etc. The programs, offered at little or no cost to all members of the community, are determined by an advisory board based on suggestions from community residents. The Hamilton advisory board is presently surveying the community and we need your assistance. Please help us by completing this survey from reflecting the courses and activities you’d like to participate in. Remember, this is just a survey form and not an official registration. Please return this form on or before February 17, 1978 to: SURVEY SKINKER-DEBALIVIERE COMMUNITY COUNCIL, INC. 6008 KINGSBURY AVE. ST.
