The September Pack Meeting has a little of everything. A classic meeting! Nine new boys, with their parents, were inducted: Jeremy Voeks, Vito Lippi, Matthew Renner,
Chavis Ferguson, Charles Judy, Timmy Ahmad, Michael Burke, William Brady and John Green.
Seven boys were graduated in a ceremony conducted by Den Chief Chris Mudd of Troop 17. Michael McEneny of Troop 31 accepted Jimmie Wood, William Collins and Stephen Hall. Bert Bender of Troop 98 accepted Conan McPherron, Matthew Storey, Jeffrey Peters, and John Hickey. They became Scouts just in time to go to the Camporee.
Mr. Bentley, Ass’t West District Executive, presented the Summer Time Activities Award to the Pack.
Barry Lee and Karl Schmidt earned their Bear badge.
Nine boys have sold 12 tickets to the Scoutskillshow Nov. 19 and received a tie slide and neckerchief.
Chavis Ferguson has sold 24 tickets. Michael Burke tried to sell at the “mystery house” and was rewarded with a scout compass.
We have a new Webelos Den Leader. He is Dennis Mattli, 7th grade teacher at Hamilton. Welcome, welcome!
The 5 Webelos who attended camp this summer earned Aquanaut and Outdoorsman activity pins.
The Pack went to Oak Knoll on Oct. 12 to see the Indian exhibit. In the evening the Pack divided for “School Night for Scouting,” half going to cash and half for Ford. It was a successful evening organizing new Packs and Troops.
There will be a Pack Meeting October 26 when UNICEF containers will be distributed for the boys to collect on Halloween.
Nov. 11 is a school holiday so off we go at 1 p.m. to Cahokia Mounds. Oct. 19th in Scoutskillshow, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Buy your tickets now!) On Oct. 22, at the West District Dinner, the Cubs will have a Kazoo band in the skits.
