The most recent quarterly meeting of the Rosedale Neighborhood Association was held on Monday, March 28. The principal business of the meeting was the election of officers for the year commencing April 1. In addition, two representatives from RNA to the board of directors of the Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council and one representative to the Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC) were also elected. On Saturday, April 16, RNA sponsored a neighborhood newspaper drive. We received $127.65 for 11,110 pounds of paper. This compares to $142.85 received in March, 1976 for about the same amount of paper. Thus, there has been a slight slippage in scrap paper prices. But the money is still good. In the paper drive just previous to March, 1976 we received, only $36.90.
On Sunday afternoon, May 22, be on the lookout for The Rosedale Membership Collectors. On that day, we will be trying to sign up and collect $3 in dues from as many residents as possible. We are going to make a special effort this year to recruit and involve our neighbors who are apartment dwellers, and we will need help in that regard in gaining access to the locked apartments. If you can help us, please call one of the officers and enlist!
The next general meeting of the Rosedale Neighborhood Assn. will be our Annual Dinner on June 4. Details will be in the next issue of The Paper and by flyer.
