Most people acquire new valuables at the holiday season, thanks to the generosity of relatives and friends. The Women’s Crusade Against Crime reminds St. Louisans to mark their new valuables under Operation Ident. Only a Missouri driver’s license should be used.
Engraving tools for etching numbers onto bicycles, cameras, silver trays and countless other items can be borrowed free of charge from public libraries and district or municipal police departments. “Blue Hand” Decals indicating program participation also are available.
If any citizen encounters difficulty in borrowing a tool, call the Women’s Crusade, 231-0425.
