Historical November 1975 blood-drive announcement; eligibility rules are those printed at the time.
Did you know that every five minutes hospitalized patients in the St. Louis area require blood?
The annual St. Roch’s Red Cross Bloodmobile will be with us again on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 1975.
Time: 9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.
Place: St. Roch’s Scariot Hall
Persons 17 years of age through 65 may donate. A parental consent form must be signed for those who are 17.
Two well-known area residents, Mr. Cal Stuart and Mr. Geno Scariot were recipients of our blood donor program while hospitalized this summer. Mr. Scariot used nine units of blood and Mr. Stuart used three units, both the same week. Without blood availability the lives of these men would have been jeopardized. Help save a life now. Give your blood on Saturday, November 8th.
Your donation of blood not only helps the community you live in but also provides the blood that you and your household (including parents, parentsin-law, grandparents, and grandparents-in-law) may use for one year from the date of donation in any hospital in the United States which will accept the transfer of Red Cross blood.
Pledge cards are available at St. Roch’s Rectory, 6052 Waterman; Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council, 6008 Kingsbury; or call R. Storey, 727.1727.
