The Skinker-DeBaliviere Unit of the St. Louis League of Women Voters will meet as usual at 10 a.m. October 28, in the Small Parlor at Grace Methodist Church. The subject to be discussed is the second section of the Presidential Accountability study, which was begun in the September meeting. Frantzie Couch will lead the discussion. As small children may be left in the Grace Church “Stay and Play” program.
At the September meeting the group discussed whether or not the League should support constitutional changes in the Powers of the President, and what, if any, limits should be placed on those powers. The question for discussion in October is: “should there be changes in the system of presidential succession and/or terms of office?”
The group would like new members and hopes to see many new faces at the meeting.
