Summer Youth Program Again Under Council Aegis

June 1975

The Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council will again be sponsoring a summer program for young people in our community. This year’s activities include landscaping, painting, office skill development, tutoring, a day camp program, and Multi-Skill, a combination of skill-building and recreational activities. The Youth Potential Section of the Mayor’s Office of Manpower Planning has approved the hiring of 50 Skinker-DeBaliviere area youths and 50 Hi-Pointe area youths (south of Forest Park) under the management and sponsorship of the Council. The total cost of this employment package is $60,000.

Applications for these jobs will have been closed by the time this issue of The Paper is distributed.
