Letter — Appreciation from the Neighborhood Impact Program

By Theodore R. Stewart

Sergeant Theodore R. Stewart and Members of the Neighborhood Impact Program

April 23, 1975

Mr.Cal Stuart, Director Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council 6008 Kingsbury St.Louis, Missouri

Dear Mr. Stuart,

The officers of the Neighborhood Impact Program and this guest wish to express their sincere appreciation to yob and the members of your organization for a splendid evening.

You displayed that your organization and neighborhood are held together by shared values, shared beliefs and shared attitudes. This is what we believe enables people to maintain a cohesive society despite the frustrations and tensions of daily life. This is what enables them to rise above the inevitable conflicts and divisions that plague any society. This is what gives a community like yours its tone, its fiber, its integrity, its moral style and its capacity to endure.

Your exuberant expression of appreciation of the program’s existance and mission was accepted with open arms by every member of the patrol.

It is our sincere hope that your support will continue and that our mission will be realized.

Again, we thank you for a fine evening.
