Christmas presents should be on your mind at this time, and our neighborhood has unusual ones to offer. Reproductions of early 20th century real estate advertisements for our three subdivisions are available on lightweight poster paper suitable for framing.
Ads for Parkview, Rosedale Neighborhood (Washington Heights), and Washington Heights (Washington Heights First Addition) cost 50 cents each, or the set of three for $1.25. The advertisements ran in the ST. LOUIS GLOBE DEMOCRAT (by whose permission they are reproduced) in 1906, 1908, and 1910, respectively. For former residents, current residents, “nostalgia” collectors and low-budget decorators, these advertisements are unusual yet inexpensive. All profits go to the Skinker-DeBalivere Community Council.
