People’s Clinic — Services and Support

December 1974

People’s Clinic is still open for medical services three nights a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 in the evening. Pediatrics, a well and sick child care service, are usually provided every Wednesday at the clinic along with our regular general care. OB-GYN services are often available on Monday evenings. Call first for any specific medical needs.

In addition, the Clinic is moving forward on several expansion plans. Sometime next year we hope to have new, comprehensive services including an older-adults clinic and outpost clinics, a women’s self-help session, and Dental services.

These would make People’s Clinic one of the best health services in the area. HOWEVER, we are drastically short of our most elusive resource: money. A grant we had more or less counted on did not come thru and the People’s Clinic is once again looking for the support of those individuals and groups who see it as a necessary and progressive health institution.
