Cadette-Senior Weekend is September 6, 7, and 8 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Activities include Macrame, candle dipping, archery and horseback riding.
On September 12, the troops that made the Arizona trip will meet in Grace Church Fellowship Hall at 7:30 to look at pictures (everyone seemed to be snapping) and talk about trip. The seven girls from 2886 who went had a wonderful time. In checking with each as to the “highlight” of the trip, “the Grand Canyon” was the unanimus reply. They were camped there six days and explored everything. Only Anne Claseman backpacked to the bottom with overnight at Indian Garden Campground. Of 34 girls on the trip, only 14 elected to go with Betty Klinefelter on this trail which was a really great experience. And everyone made it out with no trouble in spite of all the joking about having to call for help in the form of riding out on a mule.
Any girl in grade 9–12 interested in Senior Scouting is invited to the meeting on Sept. 12 to find out what Senior Scouting is about.
