Arts Festival at Grace

Elaine Strecker, General Chairman of the Arts Festival during the week of October 13 to 20, announces that participants from the neighborhood, as well as members of St. Roch’s, Delmar Baptist, and Grace and Peace are being asked to join with Grace Methodist in this celebration of “The Creativity of Man.”

All forms of artistic, creative endeavors not previously displayed at Grace will be accepted for the festival—paintings, sculpture, creative writing, as well as handicraft items, hand-made garments, embroidery, crewel work, etc.

A gourmet dinner for Wednesday, October 16, is planned to be held at one of the three churches, giving the opportunity for culinary artists to bring their best (and provide the recipes).

A movie on Friday, October 18, will be followed by a discussion group.

The theme this year is broad enough so that each of us can stretch our artistic wings–both the butterflies and the moths!

If you are interested, call the church office at 863-1992 for additional information.
