There has been a lot of publicity about city employees shirking their duties, but here’s one man who went beyond the call of duty. On May 13 the high winds broke one of the ropes holding the Art Fair banner across Skinker. It happened at dinner time, of course. Mr. Wilburn Bone was called. He left his dinner on the table, brought a lift truck to the scene, and aided by local residents promptly took down the banner before any damage could result.
Skinker-DeBaliviere residents want to express their appreciation of this extra effort, after hours.
