The Paper Sponsors Conference

May 1974

On May 18th the editors of The Paper, Christina Lange and Marjorie Weir, in conjunction with the editors of The Acorn, the Oak Hill neighborhood’s newspaper, Leon and Mary Lou Woodward, will host a conference on urban neighborhood newspapers.

We believe that opening lines of communication and sharing our methods, problems, and experiences would be profitable to all of us and to those interested in starting such papers in their own neighborhoods.

The conference, to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mayfair Hotel, 8th & St. Charles, will include luncheon. The cost is $6.00 per person.

Any interested resident is urged to participate. Please contact either Marj Weir; 863-7558, or Chris Lange, 863-2164, if you wish to make reservations.
