The 7th Annual Skinker-DeBaliviere Art Fair and House Tour will be held on Mothers Day, May 12, 1974, from 12 until 5 p.m. on the 6100 block of Kingsbury. As in previous years the street will be closed to traffic during those hours, when it becomes a promenade featuring approximately 100 artists and their work. Cash prizes will be awarded in various categories. Judging the art work will be Dennis Johnson and David Eisler, who are neighbors and faculty members at Washington University.
Also as in the past there will be a House Tour for which tickets can be purchased at a booth at the Art Fair and at each house on the tour. Bus transportation for those taking the tour will be provided free of charge courtesy of Washington University.
Other features of Art Fair Weekend include a children’s display of art work, and several fund raising events for the benefit of neighborhood philanthropic and civic groups. (See “Art Fair Weekend Events” below, and stories within.)
