It’s no news: The Crime Committee reports that while residential burglaries are down in some sections of the neighborhood, they continue to be the leading crime statistic.
The Committee urges residents to use the Operation Ident engraving tool, which can be obtained at the Skinker-DeBaliviere office, 6008 Kingsbury, or from the Police Community Relations Office on Delmar.
The use of the engraving tool and the Blue Hand Sticker are considered a prime deterrent to residential break-ins.
Also alert neighbors who note strangers and strange movements in residential yards, etc. are another means of curbing the rash of residential burglaries.
