The April, 1973 issue of The Paper, scheduled for publication on March 28, will mark the third year in print for our all-volunteer efforts. Our economy move of using typewritten copy for the last few months will be dropped and we’ll return to type-set copy for the April issue. Our budgetary gaps will be filled in by a grant from the SDCC budget.
Our operating expenses from the beginning have come from the sale of advertisements by our volunteer ad salesmen. The Staff wants to thank them again for their efforts and add a giant THANKS to those businessmen who have advertised regularly. They are the ones who have really made The Paper possible, assuring us that some money would come in each month to pay our bills.
Distribution is also by volunteers, to whom we are most grateful. If distribution falters or is slow on your block, why not take a few minutes each month and distribute them yourself? Call Vo. 2-5122 and leave your name and our distribution manager will get in touch with you. Extra copies of The West End Word, which will tell you the news of the neighborhoods immediately east of us.
