THE GARDNERS OF THE MONTH’, Captain and Mrs. William H. Ferguson, work on an early display of spring flowers at their home on 6161 Kingsbury.
Captain Ferguson, a long-Time resident of the area, advises beginning gardeners to fertilize the ground heavily. Before the houses were built some 40 or 50 years ago, he explains, the builders carted in rock and other filler and used poor soil for top soil. Most of the earth in the area is played out.
