Historical May 1978 house-tour profile. Printed signature: R.L.. Full author identity is unconfirmed; no individual is inferred from the initials. Buildings, occupants and renovations describe the source issue.

The home of William and Rogerine Kinds is clearly a family home. This two-story home with its four bedrooms and sunporch on the second floor is home for four children: a high school senior, a sophomore, a seventh grader and a 3-year-old. The Kinds have been in this home for 13 years and have felt it necessary to make a few changes in the house. Mr. Kinds remodeled the kitchen last summer and is presently working on the 2nd floor bath.

Also the back staircase was sacrificed to provide a bath on the first floor: Notice the use of wallpaper in many rooms and also the bright colors in the bedrooms of the daughters, who were allowed to decorate their rooms as they wanted.

As you leave, look at the next house south, and you will notice an interesting feature of this neighborhood. Both houses were built for the same person and the houses are mirror twins. R.L.
