The Higher Educational Coordinating Council (HECC) of Metropolitan St.Louis is happy to announce that they are the recipients of an HEW grant to establish educational opportunity centers in the St.Louis area.
The objectives of each center are to identify those persons in the community who are interested in pursuing post-secondary education in accredited institutions and to provide the necessary assistance in the area’s counseling on career opportunities, preparation of applications, as well as information on available financial assistance necessary for admission.
HECC is coordinating its activities in this area with the SDCC, 6008 Kingsbury.
There will be an Educational Opportunity Center open from 9-5 starting Sept. 16th. The Center will remain flexible in hours to meet the community needs. Please contact Adele Levine at the above address for additional information.
