The Bar-B-Que Social that was held on Mother’s Day, May 13th, was a tremendous success. The Bar-B-Que King, Horace Busch and the Board of Washington Heights Neighbors, were a little weary but very elated over the fact that we sold 2 cases of ribs; 1 case of hamburgers; 48 chicken dinners; and 120 hot dogs in 1-1/2 hours. Many thanks to all who volunteered and help make the social a success.
We sincerely regret that we had to turn away 40 to 50 people and hope to accommodate more next time.
