Change Is Inevitable

Change is inevitable, the only thing you can count on are death and taxes, change with the times. As I age, these sayings become more poignant. I have never sought change. I like being comfortable and I admire those who constantly challenge the status quo and are energetic about making our world better.

Luckily for me, the changes that have impacted me lately are for the most part great. We are approaching the best time of year in my opinion – Shakespeare in the Park, the Muny season, Movies at the Art Museum, Delmar Festivals, just being out of doors. In addition, you may have noticed that the paper is getting more efficient and timelier. A new group of enthusiasts who have experience in the neighborhood and with journalism have volunteered their time to work on the Times of Skinker DeBaliviere.

Together we (meaning them) are revamping the website, creating a Google Drive for stories and meeting to plan stories in advance. I am so grateful to this new team of David Powell, Margaret Welch, Mary Lou Green and Karen Stokes, who are generously giving their time. If you have any suggestions of articles that you would like to see, information about events that your neighbors would enjoy, or would just like to see a picture of your beaming graduate, hit us up! In the meanwhile, enjoy living in the best neighborhood in the city.
