SDCC’s 50th Anniversary will be celebrated in September, and to prepare for that, the 50th Anniversary Committee is encouraging neighbors to plant any type of flowers in yellow and/or purple, the “official 50th anniversary colors” on your front porch, in containers, or sidewalk entries. Operation Brightside has offered free marigolds!
There will be some commemorative stickers to display as well, so look for news of those very soon.
The SDCC 50th Anniversary event will take place on September 17, 2016, at the final 2016 BBQ Concert, held at the Four Corners, Des Peres and Kingsbury. Founded in 1966 by neighborhood residents to promote neighborhood unity, SDCC continues to foster all the best aspects of city living.
