During 2008, an extra-special fundraising effort has taken place for the neighborhood Centennial Celebration. Thanks to Lu Green, long-time neighbor and professional fundraiser, we have raised nearly $19,000, enabling us to publish a new book and DVD about the neighborhood’s history, as well as order banners and other memorabilia, produce a house tour, and now have a big party celebrating our great neighborhood.
In addition, the digitization of the TIMES — all 38 years — has been started, and the 70’s and 80’s will soon be on-line at our website.
With a few dollars more, we can complete the job and add the 90’s and early 2000’s to our online archive.
