The road to Eagle is not an easy one and takes a lot of hard work, discipline, planning, and personal managment. St. Roch Boy Scout Troop 98 celebrated three new Eagle Scouts on Sunday, August 6th. Elia Barker, Christian Boxdorfer, and Eric Webster, who have been in scouts together since Cub Scouts marked this accomplishment with a gathering of friends, family and mentors at Joe’s Cafe. Congratulations to all three young men and to the troop.
The Scout Master is Paul Winter, who grew up in Parkview and is also a St. Roch alum, is an amazing mentor to these scouts and and many others in the St. Louis area.
All three scouts attended St. Roch School and Christian and Eric graduated in 2013. Not many scouts make it to the rank of Eagle (only 4-5% of all scouts). Troop 98 has a rich history spanning over 100 years and to date has had 127 Eagle Scouts.
