Dobbs Site Vacant

Historical November–December 1999 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

Dobbs Automotive, which has been restructuring its business area-wide, has closed its Delmar location and sold the building.

The site was acquired as part of the Delmar Link Plan to revitalize Delmar, including a transit plaza and mixed-use development.

As indicated on the accompanying graphic, the transit plaza is expected to utilize a large portion of the Dobbs site. Funding for the transit plaza was part of the grant announced this summer by the Federal Transit Administrator Gordon Linton in an announcement at the Delmar MetroLink Station.

The improvements will not only visually link the station to the street, they will also improve public safety at the site, which is currently a problem for bus passengers and neighborhood residents trying to cross to the station.
