Approximately 53 property owners, many of them residents of the Skinker DeBaliviere neighborhood, attended a landlord forum held April 15 in the church hall at St. Roch. Co-sponsored by the SDCC Apartment Owners Association and the Neighborhood Stabilization Office, the Forum provided an opportunity for landlords to ask questions of a distinguished panel of experts, including representatives of the City building division, city courts, the sheriff’s office, and many others.
The program got rave reviews from those in attendance – and the audience, in turn, was praised by the panel for its sophisticated questions and willingness to learn from the evening. Perhaps the beautiful setting at St. Roch was simply conducive to good dialogue.
The next meeting of the Apartment Owners Association will be 7 p.m. on Monday, May 20 at the SDCC offices, 6008 Kingsbury.
