Home Improvement Competition Announced

Historical June 1994 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

The Neighborhood Revolving Loan Committee has announced a “Summer of 94 Home Improvement Contest”.

The Committee will award a prize this fall for “Best Home Improvement” undertaken during 1994. You need not borrow from the Revolving Loan Fund to qualify.

The Committee will announce the winner in The Times this fall.

A “Before” picture would also be welcomed. Of special interest are garages in the neighborhood, many of which are showing signs of age and decay. Property adjacent to the Forest Park Parkway and to the MetroLink are especially targeted.

To assist those who need some assistance to update and upgrade their property, the Neighborhood Revolving Loan Program is available. Help is available in finding suitable contractors and evaluating their bids, and creative applications are welcome! Your summer project could be a winner!
