Residents Invited To Discuss Proposed Neighborhood Playground

June 1994

Historical June 1994 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

A public meeting will be held Tuesday, July 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Methodist Church (Fellowship Hall) to discuss the possibility of putting in a neighborhood playground.

This site would be funded through a local granting organization that specializes in gifts for youth recreation.

A committee of eight neighborhood residents have targeted the site at the southeast corner of Kingsbury and Des Peres for the playground.

This site was chosen over others for its high visibility and central location in the neighborhood.

We welcome all residents’ comments on July 12th.

A site plan will be available at this time. Neighborhood input is being solicited in site selection and playground design to assist the committee in assuring that issues of safety are balanced with provisions of recreation opportunities for the neighborhood’s young children.
