YWCA Offers Summer Day Camp

June 1991

Historical June 1991 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

While most area schools prepare to break for summer vacation, many parents find themselves searching for that ideal, safe and affordable summer youth camp.

The YWCA of Metropolitan St. Louis offers just that—the Summer Day Camp Derricotte program for children ages 5 through 12.

These co-ed day camps provide children with educational fun as they make new friends and learn skills that build self-esteem.

The Summer Day Camp Derricotte program is held at various YWCA’s and other off-site service centers.

A staff of well-trained, qualified YWCA counselors supervise the campers to assure their well-being. Activities include arts & crafts, dramatics, swimming, sports, games, field trips, videos, roller skating and more.

A nutritious lunch will also be provided.

A YWCA membership is required from all day camp participants.

For more information on the dates, fees and locations of the YWCAs summer camp please call 531-1115.
