Delmar McDonald’s Offers Coupons to Help Arts Council

Historical February 1988 report or notice. Original dates, prices and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

Jim Perry, owner of McDonald’s, 5863 Delmar, is offering to Skinker DeBaliviere residents two coupons, one good for a breakfast sandwich and hash browns at $1.27 (a 30% savings), and one good for a Quarter Pounder with cheese, large fries and medium drink at $2.49 (a 25% savings). Coupons are enclosed with this issue of The Times and were distributed with January bank statements from Central West End Savings and Loan.

For each coupon redeemed, Mr. Perry will donate approximately ten cents to the West End Neighborhood Arts Council.

This program will help WENAC meet cash guidelines for its grant from the Regional Arts Commission. WENAC co-sponsored with SDCC a series of six outdoor concerts which featured Tommy Bankhead and the Blues Eldorados, Singleton Palmer, St. Louis Brass Ensemble, David Hines Ensemble, Synchronia, and the Black Repertory Company Touring Children’s Show. ART EXPOSED ’87 with its group exhibit, children’s art show, and musical performances by Al Rosenkoetter, Virginia Williams and the Bosman Twins highlighted WENAC activities this past year.

The River Faces mask making workshop, held at Four Corners Plaza, was another neighborhood arts event sponsored by WENAC.

A Spring Concert will be co-sponsored by WENAC and SDCC.

Look for your coupons and use them. Help your neighborhood support the arts!
